NOT AT EAST artist salon series featuring visual artist

Emily Jacir
Reception and Artist presentation: Friday, Sept 12, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Arts International Gallery

Originally from Bethlehem, Jacir grew up in Saudi Arabia, went to high school in Rome, Italy (and returned for part of college), received her B.F.A.(Texas) and M.F.A.(Tennessee) in America and then spent several years on the move living in Texas, Palestine, Colorado, France, and New York. She currently lives and works in Ramallah and New York City. Jacir has shown extensively throughout Europe, the Americas and the Middle East. She will be featured at the 8th International Istanbul Biennial in September 2003.
Her video From Texas with Love, 2002, will be on display at Arts International from September 15-19: Gallery hours: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
