Fifth public presentation of Visitas, 7/20 9.00pm,
Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas, Buenos Aires,
Argentina.

Visitas is a curatorial project that aims to make
accessible and activate information in reference to
the field of cultural production.

Monthly through out the academic year, four invited
participants articulate a selection of readings and
present a brief text explaining the reasons for their
selection.

Desayunando · began in April 2001 as a group of people
that would regularly meet at the Architecture
Department of the University of Buenos Aires to host
breakfasts and public readings. In December of that
same year the collected "breakfasts" were made public
at Belleza y Felicidad (gallery). By mid 2002 they
joined Proyecto Venus, with whom they published the
compiled two seasons of 'breakfasts". Desayunando are
Florencia Alvarez, Martín Di Peco, Natalia Muñoa and
Marina Zuccon.

Rodrigo Kommers Wender + Santiago García Navarro
Rodrigo Kommers Wender Architect born in Brazil now
living in Buenos Aires. Since 2004 he is a member of
the collective Duplus, dedicated to the investigation
of new forms of creativity. Since 2003 he is pursuing
a post-graduate degree in "History and Culture of
Architecture and the City", Universidad Torcuato Di
Tella, Buenos Aires. He has published amongst other
texts "Uncertainty -even panic- but lastly creation: a
furnished parking lot", written with Santiago García
Navarro (Caracas: NDL, 2004). He has developed
architectural projects in Brazil and Argentina.
Santiago García Navarro
Was born in Mar del Plata and lives in Buenos Aires.
Graduated as Professor of Letters from the University
of Buenos Aires, and self-educated in philosophy, art,
and politics. He is a member of the collective Duplus,
dedicated to the investigation of new forms of
creativity. Worked as art critic for La Nacion
(Newspaper). Produced diverse curatorial projects, and
wrote numerous texts for artist's monographs,
magazines, and web sites. Teaches at the "Regional
Encounters of Production and Analysis for Visual
Artists", a national program of the Fundación
Antorchas.

John Menick
Artist and writer living in Brooklyn, New York. His
work takes the form of short experimental
documentaries combining archival material with
invented narratives. His most recent video, "The
Disappearance," (2001-02) has been shown at Palais de
Tokyo (Paris, France), SAT (Montreal, Canada),
Maisonneuve (Paris, France), Muro Sur (Santiago,
Chile), Rooseum (Malmo, Sweden), and Kunstbunker
(Nuremberg, Germany). He is currently an adjunct
instructor at the Cooper Union, New York.

Mario Sagradini
Uruguayan artist, lives in Montevideo. Studied at the
National School of Fine Arts, the University of
Architecture (Uruguay), and printmaking at the Studio
Camnitzer-Porter (Lucca, Italy) and Swietlan Kraczyna
(Florence). Was the Uruguayan representative in the
Bienal de Arte de La Habana (II y V) and MERCOSUR I
(Porto Alegre, Brazil). Was the Director of Visual
Arts for the Uruguayan Ministry of Education and
Culture (1996-99). Was awarded Rockefeller and
Guggenheim Fellowships (1999). In collaboration with
Architects M.Kohen and R.Otero, Agronomer R. Dodera,
Pablo Frontini y Diego López de Haro received First
Prize for the Memorial of the Disappeared (1999). This
built project also received First Prize at the Bienal
de Arquitectura de Quito (Arquitectura Paisajista,
2002), and V Bienal Internacional de Arquitectura de
Sao Paulo (2003).
