Artists Launch Resistance to Republican Convention

This summer,New York City artists will lead a wave of creative resistance
against the 2004 Republican National Convention (RNC).  On Monday,
February 23rd at7pm, several creators will showcase their artistic
counter-messages to the RNC as a part of 16 Beaver Group's "Monday Nights"
series. Action Arts, an artists' collective within the noRNC Arts in
Action Working Group, is curating this event as the first in a series of
critical forums designed to promote dialogue between the arts community
and the creative resistance movement.

The series will provide space for artists to present their projects and
plans while encouraging creators of all kinds to "plug in" to the
movement. This event is open to the public and members of the media
seeking an understanding of this energized and unprecedented noRNC Arts
movement.
